Privacy Policy

Last updated: 18 August 2026

Note: This privacy policy applies exclusively to the website www.ai-think.de.
This is a translation provided for convenience. The legally binding version is the German original.

This section gives an overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit our website. Personal data is any data by which you can be personally identified.

AI-THINK. UG (haftungsbeschränkt)
Fährstr. 217, D-40221 Düsseldorf, Germany
Email: privacy@ai-think.de

The website runs on our own web server (nginx) and is deployed via a GitLab CI/CD pipeline. SSL termination is handled by an upstream proxy infrastructure. No third-party hosting services are used for this website.

The servers we use are located within the European Union. Operating this website involves no transfer of personal data to a third country. The services listed separately in this policy, which you have to allow explicitly beforehand, are the exception.

Server-side access data (server log files) is processed as part of operating the site. See section 5 for details. No analytics or tracking tools are used on this web server.

Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the technical operation and security of the website)

We only process your data if at least one of the following conditions is met:

Data is deleted as soon as the purpose no longer applies or statutory retention periods have expired.

This website uses only technically necessary storage in the browser (localStorage). No tracking cookies or third-party analytics services are used.

Purpose: user convenience (saved preferences are retained)
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in user convenience) in conjunction with § 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG (technically necessary storage)
Deletion: possible at any time by clearing your browser cache

On your first visit, the website selects the display language (German or English) automatically based on the language configured in your browser (evaluation of navigator.language). This evaluation takes place exclusively locally in your browser. There is no location determination based on your IP address, no geolocation and no transfer to third parties. A language choice you actively make is stored locally (see the "config" entry) and always takes precedence.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a user-friendly language presentation). Consent is not required because no personal data is transferred to us or to third parties.

When you visit our website, we automatically collect technical access data:

Purpose: technical stability, troubleshooting and protection against attacks
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR
Retention period: generally 7 days, then automatic deletion

A contact form (/contact) is available on our website. Through it we collect the following information:

Mandatory fields

Optional fields

Purpose: processing general enquiries, clarifying interest and initial consultation
Legal bases: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent via mandatory checkbox) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in customer communication)
Technical details: the notification email carries the IP address and browser identifier recorded at the moment of sending. They serve abuse prevention only, for instance to identify automated submissions (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), and are not evaluated beyond that.
Transmission: the form is submitted over an encrypted connection (TLS) to our own server in the EU, which sends the details on to our internal address by email. The data is not stored in a database; it exists in that mailbox only. No third-party form service is involved.
Retention period: until the enquiry has been conclusively processed, or at the data subject's request
Withdrawal: at any time by email to privacy@ai-think.de

On our product pages we embed videos hosted on YouTube. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. For users outside the EEA, Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, is the controller.

YouTube is not contacted before you consent. Initially you only see a preview image served from our own server. The player is loaded only once you click a video and thereby agree. If you decline, the website remains fully usable; you can watch the videos via the direct link to YouTube instead.

We use the privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). According to Google, no cookies are set for analytics purposes in this mode before a video is played. A connection to Google servers, and therefore the transfer of your IP address, still takes place when the player loads.

Purpose: Presenting our product videos
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent) in conjunction with § 25(1) TDDDG
Third-country transfer: USA, based on the European Commission's adequacy decision for the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (Art. 45 GDPR); Google LLC is certified under the DPF. Standard Contractual Clauses pursuant to Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR apply in addition.
Retention: Storage is carried out by Google; please refer to Google's privacy policy for details.
Withdrawal: At any time via the privacy icon at the bottom left of every page. Withdrawal takes effect immediately; the lawfulness of processing carried out until then remains unaffected.

To understand how our website is used and which content is in demand, we use Google Analytics 4. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google processes the data as a processor within the meaning of Art. 28 GDPR; a corresponding agreement is in place.

No script is loaded from Google without your consent. No connection is established, no identifier is assigned and nothing is stored on your device. If you decline, the website remains fully usable; we simply lack the statistical analysis.

We have restricted the collection further: Google signals are switched off, so no cross-device attribution via signed-in Google accounts takes place. Use for personalised advertising is disabled as well. Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses; they serve only for a rough location estimate and are discarded afterwards.

Purpose: Statistical analysis of usage in order to improve the content and structure of the website
Retention: Usage data is deleted automatically after 14 months. Storage is carried out by Google; please refer to Google's privacy policy for details.
Withdrawal: At any time via the privacy icon at the bottom left of every page. Withdrawal takes effect immediately; the lawfulness of processing carried out until then remains unaffected.

Our website contains links to our social media profiles. These are plain links, not embedded content: as long as you do not click, no connection to the platforms is established and no data is transferred to them. When you click a link, you leave our website. The respective providers are responsible for data processing on the linked platforms.

Our own pages on Facebook and LinkedIn

We operate a company page on Facebook (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland) and on LinkedIn (LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Plaza, Dublin 2, Ireland). If you visit these pages, the providers process your data under their own responsibility and terms. In addition, we receive page statistics on how our posts are used.

For the collection of these statistics we are joint controllers together with the providers (Art. 26 GDPR). We only ever receive aggregated reports, such as reach, interactions and broad age groups. We cannot identify individual people from them, nor can we influence what the providers collect beyond that.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in public presence and reach (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The joint controller arrangements are provided by the platforms: Meta Page Insights Addendum and LinkedIn Page Insights Addendum.

You may exercise your rights as a data subject towards us as well as towards the respective provider. Since the processing happens on their systems, contacting the provider directly is the most effective route for access and deletion requests. You are welcome to write to us anyway and we will pass it on: info@ai-think.de.

Some of the images on this website were generated by an AI system: the portraits of AI-VI and the avatar gallery. The people shown there do not exist, these are synthetic images, not photographs of real people.

We label this content directly at the point where it appears, with an "AI-generated" badge, so that it is recognisable at the moment you first see it.

Written with AI support are the articles in our blog: the first draft was produced with an AI system and then reviewed, revised and editorially signed off by a person. The figures they cite are backed by sources listed under each article.

Not AI-generated are: the photos of our team, product screenshots and the remaining written text on this website.

Background: Art. 50 of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 (AI Act) requires that artificially generated or manipulated content be disclosed as such. The obligation has applied since 2 August 2026.

With your consent we load three Google services: product videos from YouTube, audience measurement with Google Analytics and ad measurement from Google Ads. Data is transferred to Google in the process. Without your consent none of it loads, and videos show a preview image served from our own server. The website works fully either way. You can decide service by service under Settings, and change it at any time. Privacy policy
